They've been married 12 years! Congratulations!
And for an update on Dixie. We took her Friday to get her stitches out, but somehow she had an irritation (we speculate that she slept on her tags and rubbed a sore) that was oozing blood. The vet said her incision looked great but that he didn't want to remove the stitches until that new wound was completely healed and that we should wait another week because taking out the stitches even ONE day too early could cause huge problems. We've been treating the new wound with Neosporine. She has a snazzy argyle sweater...SWAGGA! She also got a shot of antibiotic that will last two weeks, so we don't have to fight to get her medicine in her anymore. Wish she had had that shot to start with!
The Yankees are keeping us up half the night these days. It happens every October...
I start my new job this Wednesday with training in Chapel Hill. The hiring process has been slow-going...I guess you can tell that if you read this blog. They were hoping we would be working a month ago. Now I'm a little concerned that we'll start already "behind" and have to work more in the coming weeks. I don't know really...maybe they'll change deadlines, etc.
Bob and I are getting to the gym pretty regularly these days and enjoying it, for the most part. I can really get into a zone on the treadmill with Pandora workout channel. He's having a little trouble with one of his knees but is trying to power through the exercise and treat the knee at home. My foot doesn't bother me too much so far, but time will tell. I do NOT want to suffer that plantar faciitis again. Believe me, if I feel any signs of that again, I will get to the podiatrist much sooner.
Again, I invite you to post on this "Family" blog. I believe that most of you have "author" permissions, but if you're interested in posting and find that you DON'T have permission to post, let me know (email, comment here, or text) and I'll try to figure out how to authorize permission you you.
Hope you enjoy this beautiful fall day!
